Boston Marathon
It has been held since 1897. It is one of the oldest and most prestigious marathon races in the world, the oldest held annually. It is a member of the AIMS and also a member of the World Marathon Majors League.
World records are not collected at the Boston Marathon, because the height difference in the distance does not meet the requirements of the IAAF and the distance between the start and finish line is greater than required by IAFF rules.
