O-track, Patagonia and Tierra del Fuego (Argentina/Chile)
At the end of the top three is the route, which is not just a trip, but an Adventure! Who hasn’t dreamed of being at the End of the Earth and following in the footsteps of your favorite childhood heroes? Apart from Captain Grant’s children who came to life you will find immense white-sand glaciers, majestic fjords, the Strait of Magellan, Ushuaia, where expeditions to the South Pole start, dwarf forests, endless pampas, and, of course, cute penguins. Patagonia gained mass popularity after a few years ago a part of the route in Torres del Paine National Park (the so-called W-track) was included in the trekking Top Lists. But we guarantee that this whole park (or O-track) is worth a visit. Especially impressive are the Torres del Paine towers and the two enormous glaciers, Perrito Moreno and Gray, which can be seen from space. Our trekking in Patagonia for the New Year
If you’re in Torres del Paine, be sure to check out nearby El Chalten Park, home to Mt. Fitzroy, the mecca of the world’s photographers.
